🚨 Major Change for Mercari US
In March 2024, Mercari US completely overhauled its fee structure. They removed the 10% selling fee for sellers and instead introduced a “Service Fee” charged to buyers.
This makes Mercari US the only major marketplace with 0% selling fees for most items! However, sellers now pay a $2 withdrawal fee to get their money out.
Which Mercari Should I Use?
- Live in the US? Use Mercari US. You cannot sell on Mercari Japan from the US without a proxy service.
- Live in Japan? Use Mercari Japan. It is the largest flea market app in Japan.
- Buying from Japan? You can buy from Mercari Japan using proxy services like Buyee, even if you live in the US.
